If there is a subject that Philip Farley enjoys coming back to the most, it would be pelicans. These birds seem to possess so many different qualities, from comical, the dignified, to being just plain likeable. There is little doubt that they are the most popular character of our waterways.

In “Summer Blues 1”, Philip has traded some of his finer brushes for the broad ones and created some wonderful textured areas of colour. Vibrant azure water and pastel-like cobalt blue skies, with our pelicans on the lookout from their weathered mooring posts. A delightful image that will brighten any room that it’s displayed in.
